NAHB offers a variety of residential construction contracts, exclusively for home builders and remodelers. Insurance

The minimum requirements for insurance for the registry are $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for general liability insurance. Other insurance coverages in addition to liability are available to protect the contractor’s business and customers depending on the size and needs of the contractor. Some examples of these are Worker’s Compensation, Automobile, and Umbrella. There are additional risk management tools that can be used by contractors to further protect their business from losses or claims.

Katie Frederick, CSP, CHST, OHST is a member of the VBRA and owner of Applied Solutions Consulting (ASC) who offers employee safety training for construction, remodeling, weatherization, and installation companies of all sizes & specializes in the development of OSHA-Compliant employee health and safety plans. ASC will also come to your jobsite or project location to assess workplace safety practices for both OSHA-Compliance and discuss solutions for commonly encountered hazards such as challenging fall protection scenarios.

ASC offers in-person 10 and 30-hour OSHA Training for the Construction Industry, in addition to individual training topics such as fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, health hazards and respiratory protection, to name a few.
