Hello Friends,

Hey, we missed you at last week’s Beer with Builders event!  It was nice to meet with current members and get to know them a little better so that we can offer referrals and also great to meet some potential new members.  Come join us next time!

Tomorrow is our “Hire the Next Generation” meeting at the Hannaford Tech Center in Middlebury.  Many thanks to VP of Education, Lew Castle, Gaines Insurance, for setting that up for us.  Come show your support, meet with potential hires and have a nice meal put on by the students and sponsored by Goodro Lumber and Gaines Insurance.

Work continues on the Better Homes Awards program!  The BHA committee – Leslie Bourbeau – Bourbeau Construction, Carl Grumbine – VT Construction, Rachel Cloutier – Peregrine Design/Build and me are super excited to bring this wonderful program back to the VBRA.  Info will be coming out soon so mark your calendars for October 18^th and start taking photos of your projects!

We had an informative Remodelers Council meeting on 3/19 on processes and procedures.  It was super interesting to hear what other members are using and to open the discussion to potential members too.  Many thanks to Michael Languasco and Union bank for hosting our meeting.

The Legislative Committee is as busy as ever, speaking to committees and discussing next steps related to the Energy Code and to having a Building Code in Vermont so that we’re all adhering to the same standards.  Have input?  Please reach out and let us know your thoughts.  Info@homebuildersvt.com
