New Education Product Proposal

VBRA Education continually seeks to expand course offerings. To ensure that the very best education is available to VBRA members, VBRA has developed a formal review process. Organizations interested in providing course offerings must be an Associate or Not-For-Profit (501 c-3) member of good standing at VBRA.

Two Tiers of Learning Programs (Only Available to Members)

Tier One: General Education Opportunities

VBRA's Education Committee approves learning opportunities that are made available to our members through our website portal. Courses that provide a members discount will be specifically noted on the educational offerings page.

The VBRA Education Committee reviews new product proposals submitted to the Education Committee (forms available here) process throughout the year.  General course offerings are industry or business related courses with content of general interest to its members.

Tier Two: Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Certified Vermont Builder/Remodeler Program Consideration:

Registered Vermont Builder/ Remodeler Program (RVBRP) is a registry of certified Vermont builders and remodelers who are compliant with Vermont State statutes for: insurance, business registration, consumer protection rules, and other applicable state requirements. In addition, professionals of the certified registry meet basic levels of knowledge of ‘building science’ and current building techniques to ensure quality residential building in the state of Vermont.

The RVBRP CEU Program will define the standard by which the building industry operates to ensure the construction of quality homes for Vermont’s housing inventory. The certified RVBRP professionals meet business standards and utilize best practices in energy efficiency, sustainability, and business ethics. Through continuing education and best building practices, the program will utilize building science and intimate knowledge of how technology impacts a wide range of products and materials applied within the industry. The ‘Registered Builder Remodeler Seal’ indicates a Vermont builder/remodeler meets this standard and is a leader in their profession.
